About Us
Dig for Kids Washington was started by Katie Whitemarsh and Jack Maxwell in 2008 with the help from original Dig for Kids founder, Olympic Gold Medalist Eric Fonoimoana. We started programs with 4th and 5th grade students at Robert Frost Elementary in Pasco. We have thrown 4 indoor volleyball tournaments and 1 dodgeball tournament so far in the Tri-Cities as fundraisers for the program. We plan on organizing summer camps/clinics for 3rd-8th graders to learn more about the game of volleyball. Also, we will be throiwng various outdoor tournaments this summer. Stay tuned to the website for upcoming events.
Also, this year we started another program at Rowena Chess Elementary school in Pasco. Both new Fall programs are underway at Robert Frost and Rowena Chess Elementary.
